Volunteer for SHS!
Main content start
Hundreds of volunteers have contributed to the success of the Stanford Historical Society in accomplishing its mission and goals. Our volunteers cherish the sense of community as well as the sense of gratification they feel as they help to document, share, and preserve Stanford’s history for future generations. We hope you will join the ranks of our talented and dedicated volunteer community.
Sustained Involvement
- Oral History Program Volunteers. Conduct oral history interviews or contribute your editing, curating, or multi-media skills to our post-interview processing team. Learn more. NOTE: We are currently re-evaluating our volunteer program and are not accepting volunteers at this time.
One-time or Occasional Involvement
- Office support. Assist with mailings, keep our records up to date, or work with any of our projects.
- Event staff. Be a part of our event team. Help with program registration, coordinate event logistics, or serve as a docent for our annual house tour.
- Desktop publishing. Use your design skills to help with postcard, brochure, or newsletter design.
