Since 1891, Stanford has been a place where complex challenges meet big ideas and new organizations are born.
In honor of the vision, spirit, and commitment of Jane and Leland Stanford, the 125th Anniversary Symposia series continues with Celebrating Founders. The event will feature a panel discussion of Stanford alumni who have joined a personal passion with a need in the world to found a nonprofit, movement, or organization. The conversation will cover what it takes to move from idea to reality, the role of failure, inspiring others to join in, and deciding when to persevere and when to let go. Join us for a pre-event reception and a lively discussion.
This moderated conversation will look at key factors involved with founding something - such as what it takes to move from idea to reality, the role of failure, how to invite others in, and deciding when to persevere and when to let go.
Join event host Stanford Unviversity president John Hennessy and Enjoy CEO Ron Johnson who moderates a lively and candid conversation featuring a variety of panelists who illustrate Stanford's passion for relentlessly pursuing big ideas.
